Wasn't perfect before, now worse (update 8/31/2004)

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
We moved into a 2 bed townhome on 12/2002 and was impressed for the most part. All new carpeting, all new appliances. Sure there were some missed painted spots, and the oven had to be reconnected, but that happens during a major renovation.
Probably the only major problem I have had is the kids, because its a somewhat affordable townhome community, it seems every other apartment has kids, and those kids are always running around in the streets. Some of those kids need to be paid attention to, for instance there has been some where we have seen kids leaning or playing around our cars, and of course you have to drive extra cautious.
Otherwise this is a great find. A tad on the expensive side but that is common in Montgomery County.
UPDATE: 8/31/2004
We still love the interior of the townhome, and it's still one of the best bang for the buck places out there, but in the past 8 months we have had a serious problem with vandalism to our vehicles. Three of our personal vehicles have had some type of damage to them, and other neighbors have experienced similar issues.
The management has been helpful, allowing us to terminate our lease early with a "out of the control of the Tenant" clause for Montgomery County residents. Again we do love the place, but cannot recommend it due to the repeated vandalism.
Children are also a big issue, constantly playing in the roadways, even doing things like throwing sticks and such at vehicles driving by. I do not blame the management specifically on this, just bad parenting. However there has been what seems a larger influx of Section 8 tenants occupying homes, and these families seem to have the children that are out of control.
If it wasnt for these issues I would highly recommend this place. We are saddened to have to move, but cannot afford to risk our property and cannot recommend Fieldstone at Brandermill at this time. Possibly in the future management can improve on the issues that otherwise make it a great place to live. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
