It will be four years since I have lived there but I will be moving because of how expensive it has become to stay. You would think after being a respectful tenant they would try to keep you there but I guess it's about the money...

Anyway, it's overall clean, I didn't have any issues with bugs, except for ants and fruit flies. But bug spray and constant cleaning kept them away for the most part, it was mostly a problem at the beginning of the spring. It also seems to be a safe neighborhood, I haven't had any problems with break-ins, vandalism or harassment in the parking lot. There was an incident where the lights in the community were out for about a month, maybe more. I was attending evening classes and would arrive past 10 and have to walk in total darkness--it was kind of creepy.

As for maintenance, they were always cordial and friendly but I did have to call a number of times to get certain things fixed. The landlord and management staff seemed polite but I have heard stories of them being rude to my neighbors. But on a more personal level they were nice to me.

My neighbors, most of them at least, are nice people. I don't interact too much with them but they are quiet. However, a few months ago several new people moved. The young lady above and her child are heavy steppers. I know the child is just a child but he seems to leap off of the bed and couch, as well as run around, so we can hear him when he is playing. All the new neighbors seem to have something in common, really loud music despite the time and dogs they seem to leave on the balcony for many hours of the day. But I guess that's a part of apartment living.

I love the space of the apartment and the fact that I didn't have serious maintenance issues. It was also very quiet for the 2 years and 6 months until the new people began moving in. The parking lot doesn't get too full, perhaps past 10 p.m. but over the years, I was able to park close to the building.

As for the other reviews, I understand the frustration with the new fees. I wonder if it's true that it is illegal to charge trash fees (please see previous comments from other tenants). I found a case where a Montgomery County landlord was charging their tenant $20 a month for trash fees. However, the tenants sued and won the case for $220. Anyone familiar with Montgomery County's trash laws on rental properties'

Overall, it was satisfactory as my first apartment. I am sad to have to move from my first apartment but I must take care of my finances. Comparing other reviews to Fox Run's reviews, it makes Fox Run sound almost perfect. But to live here you do need the money (FYI I worked a part time job as well as a full-time to stay here for the last four years).
