Upon moving into Fox Run in January of 2002, I began moving into my apartment. Here is a list of things that were wrong upon move-in:
- Kitchen faucet not working
- Water damage to the bathroom cabinet
- 2 x 3 square of replaced carpet (that was cut out of my closet) right in the middle of the dining room
- Thermostat reading 85 degrees even though the heat wasnt on in JANUARY
- Numerous scuff marks on the "newly painted" walls
- Bathroom sink leaking
- Bathroom toilet not bolted to the floor securly
- WAS NOT CLEAN (i.e. hair everywhere, urine on bathroom floor, crusty kitchen floor, etc.) spent 4 hours move-in day cleaning with 3 other people.
These are the majority of problems that took approximately a month for them to get around and fix.
Then 2 a month later, a water heater burst on the third floor on a saturday. It flooded my first floor apartment. Needless to say I was away for the weekend and they didnt think to check my apartment because only the person on the 3rd and 2nd floor called maintenance. I then came back on Sunday evening to a disaster in my apartment. Not only was there water EVERYWHERE, it was rusty water that had sat for 2 days on everything from the countertops, carpet, floors, light fixtures and in my cats litter box which they wouldnt touch and continued to go potty on the floor because the litter was sludge. Fox Runs attitude was oh well, well suck up the water out of the carpet and thats it. After 2 weeks of fighting over the 15 feet of brown stained carpet in the middle of my living room, they finally replaced it.
Summer I think is the worst. The pest problem is unbelieveable. I had everything included but not limited to: crickets, beatles, ants, centipedes, worms (yes, worms...) and spiders the size of Buicks! They sent the exterminator out several times, but this didnt help in the least! I knew a girl that lived on the third floor and she had the exact same problem!!!
Overall, I was very displeased with the Quality of Fox Run. For almost a thousand dollars a month and no utilities included, I expect better accomodations and service.
