The gables is a relatively new apartment complex in Germantown and I have lived there for about 2 years now. The staff is always very friendly and I have honestly never had any issues with the managment as a whole. The apartments are clean and well done except for the kitchen areas where the appliances are not always the most up to date. For example our gas stove has piolt lights which can be a real pain if there is a draft as they can blow out easily.

My wife and I are now considering moving due to both our desire to get away from the city a bit and because the apartment complex is getting noisier as time goes on. Our downstairs neighbor tends to treat his apartment as a dance club in the summer on the weekends which is not acceptable. As a matter of fact the police have been there more than once to put a stop to his parties. While this may not always be the case here, the trend seems to be more noise as time goes on. IF you are young and looking for a good first place to live, I think you could do a whole lot worse than the gables but if you are looking for something a little more quite and can spend the money I would reccomend renting a townhouse if possible.
