Move in June 08 by the end of July 08 I knew I was not renewing the lease.
GOOD THINGS:
The layout of the unit is nice really like that, the area is quiet. After reading "Apartment Rating" I made sure I asked for a unit in the back I was concern about parking. I do not have any safety concern. Staff is friendly.
BAD THINGS:
This unit was not ready for a tenant to move in (paint job was awful looks like they just did one coat; paint smear on cabinets mind you not tiny spots and the electrical outlets and light switches were either place back on without screw or just one was used if 2 were need)
GROSS STUFF: I could see they painted over grease stains. In my opinion management does not see the apt to make sure it is ready.
STAFF: Staff is friendly but I feel that there is a lacks leadership; there does not seem to be enough staff so staff from other apartment come to assist although he was very friendly, professional and "got things done" he was just helping out and the next day he was back to Milestone.
REPAIRS: I got 2 things taken care off after I hang-up on the lady and just drove to the rental office totally upset. For the money I am paying I should not have to ever get totally upset and go to the office yelling at staff to get things done in less than 1 hour when they should have take care of it a month ago. I think it is reasonable to expect repairs to be address within 48 hours and if a part needs to be order or if it simply cannot be repair within the 48 hours then a tenant should be made aware of it and not have to keep calling it to make sure. I do not expect them to call me to remind me to pay the rent.
TRASH: Because there is only one place for the trash, people leave their trash outside their door for days. Picture this, a hot summer day and gross smelly trash. As a result of this the hallway floor (concrete) are stain and sometimes even after the trash was moved it still smells a bit. I was so embarrassed when I had my housewarming party and 2 of my neighbor had trash outside their doors.
Suggestion: Consider the back building there are not a lot of parking spaces in the front from what I notice when I ve come home late. Go look at the Building you are moving to if it s the one close to the trash I would rethink that. Remember EVERYONE places their trash there except for the ones that forget and keep driving and it fall off their car hood on to the main road what a mess. Write down when and time you call and who you spoke with about repairs. One can send mail and use the online site to report issues. Never know when you will need proof.

Unfortunately as much as I like the apartment I don t think I would renew. I hope things change with the new manager.
