Welcome to the Germantown Ghettos. Crime here is so bad that management gave up on security contractors and has moved in actual county police. At first we would get almost monthly flyers on our door of the various crimes being committed, mostly residential break-ins (so insure your stuff). Now the flyers have stopped (but not the crime) and you have to look out your window to watch the fights and drug use. I myself have had to spend over a thousand dollars in car repairs do to vandalism since I moved in.

Be warned, while they sucker you in with a low price, they are not afraid to raise it. A seven percent increase is typical. Then you add things like the cost of laundry (no washers in the apartments), Cable (they have a very inventive way of effectively banning TV antennas and Satellite Dishes despite Federal Law), and ?Ratio? water billing (you pay for your neighbors kids to waste water).

I think others do a better job of explaining the deficiencies of management; you may want to checkout some of those reviews. Don?t ever have a conversation with the bookkeeper if you can help it. Do keep ALL your old contracts, paperwork, and receipts. Set aside several hours when you sign the contract, it?s very long and you may wish to bring a lawyer. Then again a lawyer would probably tell you not to sign so maybe I should say defiantly bring a lawyer.

If you do move in, remember to lock your doors, never open a window and stay in after dark. Women should probably live with a roommate and not ever go out alone.
