We lived at Hamptons for one year. They sucked us in on a great opening deal- 2 months no rent.

Pros
Location- close to shops and food
Price- not too expensive
Cons
Do not go out alone after dark. Cop cars and fights outside our apartment kept us up some nights.
THE OFFICE STAFF IS RUDE. In order to get into the "Business Center" you have to get the keys from the ladies in the office. They established this system because they had their last batch of cpu s stolen! The women in the office act completely inconvienced if you ask for ANYTHING. It creates a negative environment.
Also the kitchen cabinets are cheaply made. They started falling off the day we moved in.

I disagree. They have it set up so that the business center is open during office hours because someone walked out with one of the computers. Thats not the office ladies fault. I find the staff very helpful and NOT rude. Its their job to open the center, and they have gladly let me in. they even carry on a conversation while they walked me to the center. I personnally have always found the staff helpful. The only people I have ever seen them be rude to are the ones that NEVER pay their rent on time and they are about to evict someone. but then again, why should some of us pay on time while others take a free ride. Interesting.........

Vickie, I think that was wrong of you to insinuate that the poster must not have paid her/his rent on time. Nowhere in the post does it say that.

I lived at the Colony from Sept 2000-Sept. 2002. I ALWAYS paid my rent on time, and the office and maintenance staff were ALWAYS rude and unhelpful to me. I don't know if the same people are still there, but it seems to be the rule at the Colony/Hamptons.
