we signed our lease and the day we get our keys we came to know it is not the same apartment they promised us before.
we wrote on the guest card the referral source as rent.com but when rent.com sent them the bill they said it was resident referral,where as she told us that they have paid them long before and that they are not suppose to contact rent.com so she can not contact them and clear the misunderstanding.when i asked for proof then they said that the referral source on the guest card is showing resident referral,when asked which resident was paid the referral fee ,they have no answer then the accountant confessed that they didn't pay any one.
my GOD after moving, in the very first month we get a lawyers notice that we didn't pay them and it will be reported to the credit bureau .we received it on friday evening we ran to the lessing office on saturday just to find out that we have to come on a working day to talk to the accountant. we asked for the manager she came and said it is their mistake and she wil talk to the accountant, which she forgot as usual and didnt even bothered to write a note to her. i had to come again on a weekday during work hours to get hold of her.
they are really spending so much on the exterior of the building these days had they spend a little bit time to employ efficient people , it would had been a much better place to life.

I concur with you. I was so mad that day they redid the parking lot.

If you paid a security deposit be care. They will try to get out of paying that back to you. It took me 5 months and a formal complaint with Montgomery County before I got mine back. The old management wasn't so bad but the new managment that took over at the beginning of 2007 is horrible. Document everything in writing and keep copies. Any transactions you need to do thru the office should have a signiture for receipt unless you want a long drawn out battle.
