The best thing I ever did was leave The Hamptons. I left several months ago and couldnt be happier. I hope for their future residents sake they clean things up and get there staff an attitude adjustment. And now I am still waiting for my security deposit back, figures. It took them one day to cash my checks but I have to wait three months for it back. The noise there is ridiculous, the nasty trash they allow to rent there is horrid. Your better off in a trailer park as far as I am concerned! Good luck to you all, please thing twice before you move there!

To get your deposit back you must wait a maximum of45 days, but then you can sue for 3X the amount of your deposit if they still fail to refund your money. You'll have to do your homework since I don't remember where the form is, but I also had problems with the Hamptons and after submitting this form to them which they have 7 days to respond to I had a check in my mailbox in 5 days. I guess they didn't want to be sued for 3X my deposit. Don't deal with them on the phone. Do everything in writing and by certified letter with return receipt. Use google and check into security deposits in Maryland, the laws surrounding them and your resources with the courts. A little time on Google will take you a long way and will get your money back from those fools.
