We no longer live at The Hamptons, we moved in April. The rent is fairly reasonable if you work for the county or attend UM but there was an increase of evictions. We noted four before we moved out. That concerned us because it may speak volumes on the kind of individuals they are renting to. Meaning they are more concerned about just filling the apartments instead of the platform of those that can maintain payment of rent. The make-up of residents greatly changed within the last year that yielded negative results.

We moved for several reasons:

1. The noise level is just ridiculous!
2. Blasting rap music from neighbors and their vehicles, screaming children, sirens at night seemed constant; maintenance and contractors working on empty apartments before nine o clock. Lawn care has started as early as 7:30 A.M.
3. College students having parties on their balconies late at night and taking all the parking spaces.
4. Courtesy police officers living on the property but doing absolutely nothing but received a huge discount in rent. Police officer living on the property is just for show because while living at the Hamptons the officer did nothing about loud music or loud parties. But then again the rental office does not give out a number for the office. Mmmm!
5. No incentives for renewing your lease.
6. The rudeness from Ariel one of the leasing agents.
7. The crime increased
8. The NOISE plus the apartments are too small and having a hot water heater in the second bedroom closet is disturbing. Residents are not picking up behind their pets. Dog poop all over the place. One resident just let her poodle poop outside the patio which smells and attract flies when the weather is warm. Yet management did nothing about that.

AMEN and AMEN! The noise level is always high. There is a certain amount of noise that is excepted but where I live there is nonending noise with children and music. Management do not clean outside the apartment doors and I have a neighbor that smokes outside and drops his smoking butts in front of my door.

Sure you hear sirens but there is a police station and hospital both within walking distance of the complex. Most of the time the sirens are not for activity within the complex. Most of these complaints are from people who are not used to living within such proximity to others. If you talk to your neighbors about noise or call the police I'm sure you'll get results instead of just sitting in you apartment and putting up with it. I could live somewhere else in germantown but the convienience of being able to walk to a grocery store, library, hospital and pharmacy, several bars, dry cleaner, bus station, 7 eleven, chick filet, taco bell, movie theater, carrabas, longhorn, red robin, and IHOP is worth these minor gripes.
