Cheap rent comes with problems

We moved this month and it was time to move after seeing several young men with red hankies from their back pants pocket. We have a son and decided it was not the right environment for our son.
Our other concerns were the lack of attentiveness by the property manager to our concerns. I will admit we found Liz more resident friendly as well as Jeannie. But still not enough to look over the problems that are growing at the Hamptons. Vehicles were vandalized including property and graffiti of gangs in this apartment community were and did increase during our stay. Unfortunately crime has increased in this area and the apartment community what a shame. But my husband and I contribute this to the people the property manager is renting too. This apartment community is as only good as the people renting the apartments.
The apartments are badly designed there is a water heater in the second bedroom if you get an apartment without the two bathrooms. You can hear when your neighbors use the bathroom as well as take a shower or bath if you are a light sleeper take the apartment with the two baths. It will not be as noisy but still noisy the design and floor plan is horrible; the apartments are small with a very small kitchen. You will hear sirens just about every night. There are no washer and dryers inside of the apartments but a laundry room; which we encounter being filthy more then we liked. Dog friendly community but the staff does not enforce dog owners to pick up dog poop nor did they do anything about our neighbor that had a habit of playing his music very loud every Sunday morning and we lived behind the rental office. Location is great but we would advise not a great place to live anymore due to evidence of gang activity, crime and noise. Cheap rent yes but plenty of growing problems.
