We have been staying at this apartment complex for sometime now and we felt that it was an alright place except for the occasionally loud neighbors. However, recently we saw how things do go bad, we had a break-in at our apartment and we lost nearly everything of value we had. The response of the rental office folks was extremely apathatic and there was a complete dis-interest on their part even to address the apaprent security flaws in the apartments. On checking up with some other people staying in the complex we found that it was not an uncommon thing (the rental office told us that it had never happened before). When we expressed our concern about the lack of security and that we want to change to a different location within the complex, we were told that our rent would be raised and that there can be potentially additional expenses but under the circumstances they can be waived. We are now waiting to complete our time on the present lease and move out to somewhere else as soon as the lease expires.
I felt very frustrated that there wasnt anything else that could be done to force the rental company to increase security or to atleast make the residents aware whenever such a things happens.
I would like to point out that some of the folks at the leazing office, Liz and Mauricio are very helpful (to the extent of their authority) however the property manager Anita needs some lessons is customer service and also needs to own up to the problems faced by the renters. I had to wait for half an hour to talk to her while she was on a personal call, after returning to the office from a 2 weeks break.

You are so right, Anita needs major lessons in customer service but the corporate office seems to be more interested in keeping apartments rented.
At the cost of safety; Anita refuses to address any problems, major or minor. The apartment community has become infested with gangs and thugs and break-ins of apartments and vehicles will continue. The officer that lives here seems to be invisible because I don't see anything being done there is no number given to residents to call him or her when there is a problem; I have seen many and can't wait for my lease to expire in March. My wife, daughter and I will run from these apartments fast. There have been several break-ins yours is not the first or second but Anita will sweep your incident under the rug as she has done with the other break-ins.
Anita is unprofessional and will always hide the serious problems in this apartment community; as well as attempting to charge renters more for rent than what their lease notes. My wife and I had a problem with neighbors and Anita has yet to address or solve the problem. Liz is a sweetheart and really wants to help but you are right its only to the extent of her authority which is little.
This apartment community is unsafe.

Please go to this address:

for sending all the complaints to the company directly. Hopefully if we are able to create enough noise they will take notice and do something about it.
