Not a great place to live

I respect everyones opinion but the last review I don't believe. I have lived at the Hamptons for about six months and I hate it. I regret moving in; the staff at the rental office are unfriendly and uncaring. Since living here there has been apartment breakins and cars windows broken and property taken out of the cars and apartments. I actually think this is due to the young people mostly males that hang around outside their apartments watching other residents.
The apartments are truly and honestly not quiet, and for the other reviewer to write, "I don't hear my neighbors" means the reviewer must live or surrounded by senior ciizens because where I live it is loud, and I have neighbors that drink cheap liquor outside and smoke plus talk very loud late at night. My other neighbors have six people living in a two bedroom aparment and the other neighbor plays his music and tv very very very very loud. Yet Miss Anita does nothing about it when you complain.
The laundry rooms are dirty and some of the washer and dryers don't work and the washer only fills a little over halfway. Where I stay the grounds are dirty people are putting their trash outside their door including their wine and beer bottles.
These can be great apartments but the management staff needs to crub the bad element they are renting to. Renting the other reviews I concurr there does seem to be a gang problem, I have seen colors being worn by the young men walking and hanging out at night. The police are seen more often in these apartments arresting people on drug charges.
Not a great place to live nor is it a safe place to live unless you enjoy your car windows being broken and propety stolen. I have very very loud neighbors that do not understand the meaning of common courtesy. 7/11 is right at the corner which brings in day labors and unsavory charcters into the neighborhood.
For the money you can find a nicer and SAFE place to live and currently trying to find a way out of my lease. Don't be fooled by the other reviews these apartments are just as the majority write they are; UNSAFE, SMALL, UNFRIENDY STAFF AND LOUD PEOPLE THAT DO DRUGS AND GANGS FOR NEIGHBORS.

A lot of these reviews seem to come from elitist and borderline racist. You criticize the management for who they rent to which is based on having at least a certain amount of income but if your so well off why didn't you move into somewhere else? It seems to bother you that someone with different standards of livin' can afford to live in the same complex as you. Remember you rent and don't own so their are certain things your gonna have to put up with. If people live on top of you and to the sides of you your gonna hear arguments, doors opening and closing, or god forbid they flush their toilet and you hear a little water running through the pipes. Let me find out that people are scared to knock on their neighbor's doors and ask them to keep it down. I think I'm gonna move too, to a country where people still have balls and common sense.
As far as crime I don't see it as being as bad as any other area of Germantown. I'm sure cars get broken into but that's a county wide problem in all neighborhoods. I live right next to the 711 and if I feel like walking over there at 3am for a pack of ciggarets I do it with no hesitation. How about calling the police on the group of youths hanging out in the parking lot at late hours? There's plenty of cops in Germantown so I'm sure they'd be happy to come by and check it out, especially if their being noisy.
Most of my neighbors seem to be proffesionals who go to work everyday some even do more work when they get home. And contrary to popular belief every latino is not a day laborer you jackass. You make it seem like guys are hanging out at 711 looking for work in the morning. I'm pissed all I can say is check out The Hamptons for yourself. If you go by these reviews and the reviews of other apartments in Germantown you'd never find a place to rent.

Im sad to hear that your neighbours have been such a pain. Unfortunatley the people that you end up living next to do determine how you view your stay. I'm lucky that I live next to three families with small kids and they are quiet as can be.
But hey if management refuses to do anything threaten to sue because if they recieve three noise complaints about the same people they have to evict them by law. I would make sure to give in written foraml complaints that includes dates, person involved and description of event and keep copies (you can get the office to sign that they recieved a formal complaint for you). You should consider calling the cops if they are making noise after 11pm as they will make a report and it will be documented.
In the place I lived before I had two neigbhours that beat their wives, had drugdealers over and held parties with kids present until 3am. It was a nightmare to say the least. However, I marched right down to the rental office a couple of times and within a month they were evicted and some quiet people moved in:)
ps Everybody under the lease is required to do a background check before they move in so in theory these people that cause trouble do not have a criminal past.

Indeed your true colors are showing, anyone can disagree with a review but at least do so with a sense of intelligence which you seem to be lacking. Another thing I live in these apartments and at the present looking for a home because I am sick of the bad neighbors. The previous review noted nothing about race and day laborers are indeed any race. The review is not personal just an opinion that seems to differ greatly from yours.
Indeed the environment has changed over the years from good to worse and to be honest there is a certain element of people that have been permitted to move in. Not being racist but being honest as the reviews have stated there has been break-ins in apartments and vehicles and this started with the new property manager Anita, that seems to be more interested in just keeping the apartments rented instead of looking for quality renters. Evictions are at an increase at these apartments and as far as the criminal checks I don't believe it happens all the time. If so arrest pertaining to drugs and other illegal activities would not be happening. As one reviewer said check with your local police department.
Women have been assaulted people robbed, and drug busts happen at 711,so what apartments do you really live-in; or are you part of the problem and not the solution? You don
There are real factual problems here and yes I feel unsafe as a lady living here especially when the property manager could care less about the safety of renters.
So "Monkey"blood I have lived in other apartments and never heard the water pipes but will agree with the one reviewer about hearing the water pressure and its not a little when you have to increase the volume on your tv set. You may like hearing your neighbors in the bathroom, I don't and certainly don't get off on it.
Frankly those living at the Hamptons have different views and that comes from whom your neighbors are or what side of the street you live on. I would not reccommend the Hamptons.

MonkeyBlood sounds just like most of the other residents that believe they can play loud music at all hours of the day and night, drink and smoke weed in the common areas and so on. Who actually gets up and walks to 7/11 at 3am but someone up to no good, with no job to go to in the morning? Or are you going over there to buy drugs? Do your research and log onto www.crimereports.com to see all the crime in the Hamptons and up and down Crystal Rock.
There is a problem here in the Hamptons and the office knows there's a problem. If there wasn't any problems with crimes in the Hamptons, why would they send letters out asking the residents to help identify people that are breaking into cars, "tagging" gang writing on the apartments and common areas. Not too long ago they sent letters out to my building only asking the residents in building to help identify what resident is smoking weed to the point to where others smell it in their unit.
