This apartment complex is not a "get what you pay for" facility. First, the blinds are filthy when you move in and no matter what you do, you can't get them clean. Second, if someone above or below you is on their balcony talking, you can hear EVERYTHING LOUD and clear. Third, to clean gutters, the maintenance staff vaccummed them, never mind the birds nests in there and the live baby birds in the nest! Fourth, My ceiling caved in the bathroom and when they came to check it out they ruined my bathroom door, shower curtain, floor mat, bathrobe, etc (they didn't take one minute to push those things aside before working). When I called to see if they would replace those items I was given a firm and rude "NO." And then, it took days for them to come back and fix the whole in the ceiling. Fifth, when it snows, they shovel, but leave a mound of snow between the edge of the sidewalk and the cars. You have to literally jump/climb over the mounds to get to the cars, which are blocked in by the plows pushing snow in front of them. Sixth, and most important, it is not clear in the lease, but the deal is this...if you want to cancel your lease (even if it is ending) you have to give sixty days notice. So, let's say your lease ends on April first, you have to tell them by February first that you are moving. If you don't, you have to pay month to month for the next 60 days (which would be until June first), which for a one bedroom apartment is 1500 dollars! Craziness. The fitness center and pool are nice, however the lifeguards let the kids run wild. Parking is adequate (I've never had a problem). It is close to 270 which is a plus. Overall, I would say if you are splitting the rent and you are staying for one year only, go for it for the time being. But if you're looking for the long term, try elsewhere.
