I've lived at Archstone for 5 years. I moved into Archstone as a member under MPDU. I was treated with respect and never had an issue with the staff. The apartment I moved into was great. After two years I was off MPDU and had to pay market price. This too, was reasonable. This past year, I moved into a 2 bedroom. the office staff couldn't have been more generous with their time and extremely professional.

Whenever I have had a problem that "warrants" maintenance call, the staff responds immediately and never has had to return to the apartment for the same issue.

The grounds are kept up nicely and my neighbors have all been nice. The kids that live in the neighborhood are for the most part quiet, but they are kids and they do play.

I find it very disturbing to read through the comments and listen to the complaints that residents have. Not everyone at Milestone feels the same way as what one would read in the reviews.

I've been in the office on a number of occasions and am shocked by the demands and rudeness of some residents. Granted we all pay money to live here, but that does not give us the right to treat the staff like they are idiots or they owe us something. They have a job to do just like the one that you go to everyday, or don't go, and choose to have the state pay your way. Get your act together, move on, and get a life and stop worrying about who owes you something and take charge of yourself. Rent is due on the 1st of the month, we have until the 10th to pay...let's try to learn how to manage our money properly and you, too, can pay on the 1st. If you get a notice on your door, it's not because they are rude, it's because you don't pay your rent on time. If your car gets towed, stop parking in handicapped and reserved spaces. We live in an apartment, there is GOING to be noise. Get over and get a life and for god sake, stop whining!

Example: I was in the management office a two years ago and some man was screaming at one of the staff because someone was parked in his reserved parking space. And I don't mean, that he was upset, I mean screaming. The staff member was obviously getting a little uncomfortable with this this jerks rants. She tried to explain that the lease that YOU signed stated you have the rite to call the tow truck if someone is parked in your space. He didn't want to hear what she had to say. So, finally, I couldn't take it anymore and and raised my voice and said, if you say another word to her, I will physically move your out of the office, now get the f.... out. He looked at me in shock and left.

hmmmm....sounds like disgruntle residents have no other things to do in their life than to come on here and complain about something. My question to them is simply this: Were you always this much of a pain in the ass' These types of people typically and never been told no. Well, welcome to the real world, no one owes you anything and mommy is not here to protect you any more. Grow UP!

Oh, and by the way, there have been crime reportings, but that has been in the area, not just the apartment complex. And the staff does a great job in notifying the residents with newsletters and postings in the breezeways and the mail centers. Maybe the problem is that some residents can't read.

On the bug issue, I've been here 5 years and have never had a bug in my apartment accept for weather changes...that's normal...try CLEANING...that helps.

And kids.....PLAY, just play, that's what you are suppose to do.

For those that are on MPDU and HUD, you'll get there, like I did...just keep working at it and stop having children, so you get more money. Awww...deal with it.

Anyway, great place to live, minus the jerks that complain about everything.
