Even with all the management issues living here, I still love my apartment.

However, the management really let me down over the past week. Last Sunday night, Christopher Gary shot and killed his mother and shot his mother's neighbor as he escaped. I had to find out about this from one of my neighbors, who informed me that Christopher Gary was my upstairs neighbor. He found out from one of the maintenance crew. The police informed maintenance because the manager was too busy washing her Mercedes.

Unfortunately, Gary's life ended Monday night in a shootout with Delaware police. Over the past week, his apartment has been emptied. During this entire episode, no one from management thought the incident was worth mentioning to the residents.

P. S. last year I had gone up to this neighbor regarding his stereo volume. Luckily, he was extremely nice about it and has been considerate since then.

if it did not happen in the community do they really have the right to disclose any info on a resident there? just my thought I am a county inspector and unless it happened at the community I dont think they have the right to disclose because it would get in the way of the investigation.

If it would get in the way of the investigation, then why did they tell the maintenance man and why did they tell me everything when I went to the police station and asked? When I went to the station, they asked if the police had already spoken with me and seemed surprised that no one had officially told me anything. Wouldn't it be important to let those living in the same building know that they could be in danger? Wouldn't it be a good idea to ask people to call 911 if they saw him in the building or heard him in the apartment? That is what the woman at the police station seemed to think.
