My husband and I lived in the Pinnacle for about 6 months before breaking our lease. While we were there, we encountered many problems.
First, the rent is outrageous for the quality of the apartment. The apartment we lived in was poorly laid out (The Seneca). The kitchen was so close to the living room that when you are running any of the applicances, it made it nearly impossible to hear the TV.
Our apartment also had a ton of windows, which we loved, until the winter. There was little or no insulation around them. Our bedroom would be frezzing! We also had a door off our bedroom that led to the deck. The door would blow open any time there was a little wind. During the winter, the carpet around it would be frozen.
We lived on the 3rd floor. I understand that is is apartment living and you will hear your neighbors occasionally, but when I can hear our neighbors all around (above, below, and next) doing just about everything that you can imagine at all hours of the night, it becomes a little annoying. Let's just say that I had to call the police a few times on my neighbors who insisted on holding a drunken wrestling match at 3 am above our bedroom.
On more than one occasion, the fire alarms went off for no good reason at 3 or 4 am. They kept going off all night. It made it hard to get up and go to work the next day with the lack of sleep.
Parking was miserable. If you had to work late and arrived home after 7 pm, you had to park far away from your builidng.
The staff (with the exception of the maintenance staff) was rude. When we had an issue, we were often put off. They are so RUDE!!
I am glad to be out of there. We ended up moving to Frederick and saved about $400 a month off rent. We are living in a much nicer apartment. If you are considering a move to the Pinnacle, look around before you sign.
