Don't rent here

We leased an apartment with Pinnacle in August 2007.
Maintenance:
Within the first week or two the fridge died. Maintenance came to replace it. They removed the old one, leaking water all over, denting the walls and door while getting it out of the apartment. About halfway through our lease, our hot water stopped working. It took nearly a week for it to get fixed, which was completely unacceptable. We even took time off of work to be present, and they never showed, but said they had come by and no one was home (trust us the dog would have announced their presence). Had we not said we would call someone in to fix it if it wasn't fixed the next day it probably would have taken longer. When we had quaterly inspections/filter replacement I called the office to schedule thier work since we have a dog. They failed to show every time. To have them replace the filters I needed to call three seperate times.
Property Management:
We called the office to complain about a neighbor not keeping its dog on-leash or nearby and being very menancing. Management only informed us of our need to file a formal complaint (so it would actually go into thier folder) after the third time we called there. The complex does not enforce its dog policy- restricted breeds abound. We finally resorted to calling the county police about our neighbors dog, which helped somewhat, but the apartment complex didn't do anything.
We have had basically nothing but problems with property management since around the time we opted not to renew our lease. They sent the wrong bill to us for our final rent. Then, although according to county policy we have a week to do the move-out inspection, we were required to complete it in 24 hours. They lost the move-in inspection when we were doing the walk through, then argued that we would be held responsible for damages we didn't make, but that we should have a copy of the move-in inspection to challenege the claims. (We did have one, but property management shouldn't lose your paperwork). We provided them with the correct new address on several occassions because they always screwed it up somehow. They have yet to return our deposit to us. County law requires it be returned to us within 45 days of move out. We are well over that time frame, and we have called on several occassions. Every time we call they say, we'll call you back, and yet we have not recieved any phone calls in return. We finally resorted to using the landlord tenant complaint form, and they're completely shocked we had to take it to that level. They have insulted us on numerous occassions becasue we call them out on thier abysmal failures.
Community:
There are a number of great neighbors at Pinnacle, and there are some nice features to living in that area. There are a number of drawbacks. Again, I would like to point out that the dog policy goes unforced. Additionally, the area is plaqued by teenagers who have threatened and annoyed me, my fiance and our dog on several occassions. From calling me slurs and harrassment, to skateboarding in the hallways, they are an extreme nusiance.
Living Space:
For the space, the apartments are extremely overpriced. Our kitchen was great, but that was about it. The bathroom was absurd. A dog had chewed all the molding in the bathroom, and the tub was impossible to clean, much as I tried, it was not possible to prevent mold and/or mildew from thriving in the poorly grouted tiles. The angles made it impossible to put furniture in anything but one arrangement.
Since moving we have been amazed at what living at an apartment complex can actually be like, with maintenance and property management that actually respond to one's issues promptly and cordially. We will never reside in a Bozzuto property and certainly not Pinnacle ever again. And we highly recommend you avoid them too.

WE COMPLETELY AGREE with everything above and have had similar experiences. We'll certainly never rent from Pinnacle ever again. Management is rude and unhelpful, and the inside of the apartments are made with the cheapest of materials. They aren't the "luxury apartments" that they claim to be and we're sad that we wasted so much money renting from them.
