I had a noise problem with residents upstairs, which I brought up with the residents first - requesting them to keep it down. The noise would always start around 10 in the night and go on till 1 AM or so. The residents didn't care much for my requests. Spoke to the management and they told me to write a letter to them. Wrote it and didn't hear anything for a month at which point I called them and told them I couldn't take the noise any more and requested them to allow me to move out before the customary sixty day notice period. Never got a response from them reg the request or about my earlier letter. The very the next day, however, I get a letter from them with detailed vacating instructions. Not satisfied, I called their corporate office and spoke to the responsible person (who would not give me her first name!) who asked me to write a letter to her. Wrote it explaining all of this and she calls me back. Get this - she never even apologizes and just tells me what the "policy" was on noise complaints. Why the hell didn't they tell me the policy on day one'
This is one cheap complex too - was OK about three years ago but now the resident pool has become increasingly trashy (literally too). The management is a sorry excuse. The "managers" of the office are the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. Dont do it. Take my advice and go somewhere else.
