Through a notice from the Management I came to know about burglary in few apartments in last week. Even after such incident I don't see any preventive actions taken to avoid burglary. I am not happy with the security standards here.

You're an idiot---YOU are preventative action. What do you want management to do? Stand guard your apartments with guns drwan? Investigate leads? Lock down your homes?? Those are measures taken by the police dept, NOT the management. Yes, security camera can go up (which also take away some of YOUR privacy, and the cost of YOUR rent goes up) but even if cameras went up it would take more than a week to get a vendor approved, get the funds, get the "ok" from upper management, hire the contractor and go off of the contracters schedule. I live here and I have been effectived by the burgluries too. Take matters into your own hands. Double check locked doors, be alert. Managemnt cannot "police" you. Thats against the law actually for them to pretend they are police. Management sent you a "notice" so you can be aware. NOT so you can bash this place I've called home for six years! Grow some "balls" and if you want to "prevent burglury" go into the police academy.

I no longer live in the neighborhood because we had children and moved to a house but want to know what you expect? You did not move into a neighborhood that provides security. YOU are it. Lock your doors and pray for the best like 99% of the rest of the population. Otherwise move to a gated community or an apartment building with a doorman. You are expecting the management to deal with a public safety issue NOT a management issue.

Oh, so it's their fault if someone climbs onto their balcony and kicks in a door?? You're an ass. The balcony doors are inadequate for safety. By request they will add additional latches (like on the front door) which I highly recommend. Window locks (to restrict opening) are on-order; call if desired. Have renters insurance. That's all I can say; the situation sucks but is worse for those it directly happened to.

I live in the community right now. I do not in any way feel unsafe there. Things happen no matter where you live. In the house I grew up in there were burglaries in our neighborhood. Like someone else said, lock your doors, make sure the windows are closed and hope for the best and have renters insurance to cover you if you are unfortunate enough to be robbed. Although having a large dog doesn't hurt to protect your home either. :-)
