Didn't Even Make It In

We went to this complex to see about moving in, because they were brand new and the prices were right for us.
We should have run out screaming. The leasing agent, Mary Catherine, is a complete moron. She took us on a tour of 2 apartments, and the ones she showed us were awful. The first one (a terrible apartment underground almost) had stains on the kitchen floor and the bugs crawling along one of the closets. Dear Mary Catherine just laughed and said oh we'll have to get someone out here to look at this.
The second apartment, looked very nice when we walked in, but there was a hole in one of the closet doors and a light was broken in the kitchen.
Why on earth would you show apartments in this condition.
We went back to the rental office to discuss everything and Mary Catherine was so desperate to get us in that it was a complete turn off. She was willing to make deals at every turn and practically begged us to move in.
If you have to beg people to move in, is it really that great a complex'
We absolutely went somewhere else.
