I have lived here almost a year and I cannot wait to leave. The only reason My husband and I stay is we have to do a two month buyout if we do leave. And they didn't tell us we need to do a 60 day notice in order to leave after your contract is up. It will just be reinstated... The prices are atrocious.. We have a one bedroom apartment and pay almost $1000 a month. The entire place is unsanitary and not a safe place to raise children. Since living here we have had problems with spiders and crickets(all normal in an apartment) but add in the THREE count them, THREE fires in our apartment because of the heat and air conditioning in this hellhole. We were creating a bomb in our vents because they are NEVER taken care of. The maintenance does not fix a thing unless you threaten to call the police or fire department. Just a few days ago our smoke alarm beeped because of a dead battery. When we went to change it, we saw it was not even connected to the wiring. It was just hanging there looking useful. Being pregnant, inhaling the amount of paint fumes from latex paint in the hallway and smoke that is constant around here, is dangerous and I hope no one has to go through this. As you probably have read, the management and maintenance make up reasons to come into your apartment. I have twice come home to find my stuff gone through while I was not home. And it was not broken into because my apartment was neatly locked up when they left. The pool is never open. And the few times it was, it was dirty. They never mow the grass and by the way the dead, decaying, body in an apartment is just icing on the cake... I believe that was my apartment because there are some unidentifible stains in the carpet. We do have a dog and I am constantly afraid to take him out on a walk because other dogs do not have leashes and run after us all the time not to mention the fact that he likes to take home things and I am constantly checking to make sure it is not drugs. Just yesterday I found a crack pipe in the pathway leading to my door. And that was right after the yard staff "cleaned". I do not reccomend this building even to my worst enemies and I pray for those of you that live here after I leave.
