I've been living at Americana since July 2007. I think that it is on par with what you are going to get in this area for this price. The complex is huge, and judging from what others have written I think I lucked out with a good building. My neighbors are friendly and respectful. The sound is inconsistent, sometimes I hear others, most of the time it is quiet. There is plenty of parking and it is close to the buildings. I haven't needed to contact maintenance, but when a neighbor did they came immediately. They've only come in twice in 7 months and they always leave notes to let you know they've been through.
I feel relatively safe here. There are police monitoring the area (and several police officers live in the complex). The location couldn't be more convenient (near major highways, shopping, restaurants, etc.)
There are some creepy crawlers. No roaches so far (knock on wood), but there are sprickets, centipedes, spiders and other little bugs. There are gaps in the flooring that they get in through.
Overall I'm very happy with it. I doubt I'd find another apartment in Glen Burnie for the price I'm paying now that would be better.

You get what you pay for, the police are not helpful when it comes to out door drinking and drug dealing.

Just wait until the management walks in on you when you are in the shower... and blame you for it! I was 8 months pregnant and got yelled at for not opening the door promptly
