I only lived in Americana Southdale for 2 months but that was long enough. There are multiple problems with these apartments:
-The doors to each building DO NOT lock
-OMG the smell!!! It's consistent and can only be adjusted to because I never found a way to cover it
-They are poorly constructed (doors are weak and crack easily, locks can be pushed through with little effort)
-There are annoying, yappy dogs everywhere and most of the time no one cleans up after them
-There are sketchy looking people wandering around all the time
-A cop is usually sitting near the front entrance on weekend nights which wouldn't be necessary Americana were a safe place
-Never used the pool because you have to pay extra for it and it looks disgusting
-The location sucks because if you try to turn left onto Ritchie Hwy you'll be sitting there forever and traffic is always heavy
-Management is pathetic because they are obviously using this site to boost opinions of a below average apartment complex

I would not recommend living here if you're looking for a safe, clean, quite environment. I only stayed here temporarily with a friend while I looked for my own place and I couldn't be happier that I wasn't stuck in a lease. Shop around in Glen Burnie, there are plenty of other options that are much better than Americana.
