I wonder if things have changed since I wrote this orginal message, three years ago. I've been living in Harford County since 2004, and I must say; it's been great to get out of Gatewater Landing. To the brave souls still in hell, I say to you, "Move!"

I've retained an address at Gatewater Landing since October of 1999. I say "retained an address" as opposed to "lived" because its almost impossible to have decent way of "life" in this neighborhood.

Allow me to validate every point that has been made thus far, by about all of the reviews I've read on this site:

The dog poop is a problem.

The lack of upkeep is a problem.

The rent instability and lack of managment is a problem.

The parking situation is a joke.

The washing machines hardly ever work and are always broken.

The dumpsters are ALWAYS overflowing with garbage.

Cars are stolen from this complex weekly. (Check Anne Arundle Co Police records)

As far as positives:

Well, if you decide to move in and never sign the lease agreement Gatewater Landing will never know the difference. Your rent will never change this way AND you get the added bonus of being able to leave whenever you please.

Having just returned from Iraq, and seeing the TRUE bottom of the barrel in "humanity", I almost didnt bother writting this review. I figured, "Hey, its no worse than Iraq! Whats the problem with these people'" But lets be honest, folks:

We live in the great USA and there is no need to subject yourself to a third world atmosphere in a third rate apartment complex.

I'm moving soon and Gatewater Landing will be nothing more than a bad dream for me. Do yourself the favor and avoid this abortion while you are able to do so without legal ramifications.

Thanks for reading and please stay away.

WOW - you've been gone since 2003 and you still find it necessary to post a review... let it go! I seriously doubt that management is the same if they ever were as horrid as you say - don't you have something better to do...

I was just checking in. Why don't you post your name or email address, numbnuts? How long have you been working there, anyway? This site must be hurting business. What's the white trash ratio up to these days? 45-50%? How about the section 8 housing? The ghetto thugs still slinging rock around the corner? I'd drive through the old complex, out of interest, just to see how things have continued to deteriorate. My car is too nice, though. I've already had one car stolen out of your parking lot and wrapped around a tree. I'd like to keep my property damage to minimum. How high is the pigeon ---- stacked on your deck? Hell, you probably don't need patio furniture! Do the planes still shake the whole building? How about those ------- kids and their firecrackers in the hallways at 3 a.m.? Your place sucks and so do you! Folks, meet one of your future "could give a crap" Gatewater Representatives!!!

devildog007, Hey brother, I have just returned from overseas and have seen how bad other countries have it. Though we DO have alot to be thankful for here in the greatest country on earth, I would be curious to know if you have driven by or glanced at the place recently (since the 20th of July). I need to be off post by the 1st of August and would like to prevent myself from havig a heart attack by moving to a bad location. Hit me up on the e-mail: temple_inside@mac.com and let me know if there are any places near Fort Meade that you could recommend- managed complex OR private family residence. If you really have been overseas 'doing the time', then everyone reading this site should understand the sacrifices you have made that allow them to choose to have bad conditions and YOU - have earned the right to voice your opinion. Isn't that that how it usually works out? Glad you made it back safe.
