That time of year again -- this past winter we got new office staff. Just in time for the big fire that gutted a few apartments. Note that the front office *still* hasn't sent out notices to let people know what caused the fire (though residents say they've heard it was NOT tenant error/carelessness). Just like all the previous staff, these folks are very friendly, and don't mean a thing they say. I've been waiting three months now for repairs that were promised to me "within the week," trash still overflows the bins, dog crap is still everywhere, and the rent still keeps going up and up and up and up. And the corporate office still ignores all complaints. Tell residents of the Glen Burnie area where you live, and you get a sympathetic smile in response and encouragement to find a better place to live. I've also heard the former office staff was crooked--alledged drug use, hitting on female tenants, many tenants not getting a yearly rent increase while others did.

The rental office's new idea this year -- make all residents who use the pool put photo IDs on the backs of their pool passes. What in the world for'! Is this the Pentagon' Are we going to be overrun with Glen Burnie residents who can't wait to crash our pool' Too bad the office doesn't place more emphasis on timely repairs.

They have a banner outside of the rental office that says something like welcome home. What it SHOULD say is Welcome to Glen Burnie's Best Tenement. We'll ignore you just like the city slumlords do!
