I have lived at Gatewater for about 1 year and it is AWFUL!!!! The office staff NEVER returns phone calls or fixes anything!!!! The lighting is terrible! We have not had light in our building for months!!! The lighting on the premises is very limited as well. They have not even fixed the lighting at the main sign! There are gangs and groups of people all over late at night. The trash---- That is disgusting! People leave their furniture out by the dumpsters! Trash bags laying all over the dump area in visible sight! It looks like a dump! And dog mess''' ALL OVER!! People just let there dogs mess anywhere and it stinks!!! The smell of smoke in the apts is crazy! The management won t help either. They do not do anything! They just let the place look like a DUMP! The hallways smell like dogs because almost everyone who lives there has enormous dogs so of course the buildings all stink! Except for the one with the office!!!!! All in all this place sucks. It smell, does not have lighting, office staff is terrible ..so if you move here ..You will regret it!

I live in the office building and I have two dogs. We had a lighting issue the other day it took a few days to get it fixed but they did. As for the smoke smell yes people smoke in THEIR homes and there is nothing you can do about it. They pay rent as well as you. The lights on the sign out front are there and work don't know what your looking at. The office staff is great. I have lived here for 12 years and they are THE BEST thus far. As for the trash and "furniture" if people would not put it there we would not have this problem, now would we?

sounds like your issue is more with your neighbors and thier lack of cleanliness and courtesy to others than with the staff or community. i guess some people feel better having SOMEONE to blame it on.

I dont know about you, bluesue, but since i dont manage the complex, I dont think its my responsibility to go around re building the apartments with better insulation and thicker walls to keep the smoke out of the apartments to those who dont smoke and dont like to smell like it. I also dont beleive its my responsibility to talk to my neibors about cleaning up after themselves. I have a job. I dont need another one thank you very much. They should do theirs. I do mine. Its not that hard. Well it is for them apparently.
