The title says it all. Please believe that the reviews written on 4/28/08, 5/04/08, and 07/10/08 were probably all written by the same person and probably by a staff person. This is obvious as all three post feature the sentence "yes, there was a shooting." My main annoyance while residing at Gatewater Landing were the staff and the towing. The staff all live on the property and are nosey as hell! Even when they are not working. They think they are better than the residents and when you go into the rental office they stick thier noses in the air. As far as towing, North County Towing stalks the parking lot daily for cars to tow and will tow any car that appears to be in violation even when they know that it is a resident's car. Your parking permit falls off the windshield on to the floor of your car... they'll tow your car. Parked in a handicap space but forgot to put up your handicap permit... they'll tow your car. Park a little bit over the white line... they'll tow your car. Once your car is towed, you'll have to figure out how to get to Pasadena and pay $200 to retrieve you car.

Other things that annoyed me: any and everyone uses the "private" resident pier, the apartments are infested with sprickets, the main door to the apartment buildings don't lock, no one cleans up their dog poop and everyone has a dog. Like someone else said, MOVE HERE IF YOU HATE YOURSELF!

Hey dumb a$$...I have lived here for 6 years, and I can tell you, prior to having a towing service, this place was something that would have had legitimate complaints. Since the permits have been in effect, it has cleaned up so much riif raff using OUR piers (private). And as a resident with my permit, I can actually have a space near MY bdg to park. I am an adult and can be responsible for making sure my permit is displayed every nite. I don't need to have my hand held to be responsible for myself. If you are handicap, then put the placard up, there is no need to move it around, AGAIN, an adult responsibility! All apt complexes have rules simular to Gatewater, if you don't have rules, such as this place before, then you get mayhem! This is my home, it is where I live and I pay rent, I should be entitled to have priority parking with my permit. My visitors have no problem finding a visitor space or parking on the street...people need to stop being so lazy and making up excuses for their own mistakes, be a man or a woman and just say "I scewed up, or "I forgot"...whatever, put the blame where it belongs. We all had to take our driving test and most of these rules apply in general to anywhere you park...such as fire lanes, handicap spaces with no placards, Oh and don't forget about your car having a tag all together on it, much less a current date...blah...blah...blah...All our responsibilities, we are not children anymore. We should be glad that we are treated as priority with our permits, since we do live here! And I like the fact that I feel much safer living here knowing that the mgmt is trying to keep out unwanted crime and drugs. As far as your "nosey" staff...if you have nothing to hide and aren't doing anything wrong then what the hell do you care whos watching who???? I don't have a problem with that, the other residents are nosey too, but who really cares what any one else thinks, I don't. If you think Gatewater Landing sucks, then move to another apartment that really doesn't care what is going on...believe me, I've lived in those, and was afraid to come out after dark! I work hard and rent is expensive, so I want to have a permit so I can be close to my bdg and I want someone out there, towing away people who don;t belong in my space...Get a life and find something worthwhile to cry about!

yeah...grow up and take resposibility butt head! you have to follow rules everywhere, that is nothing new to adults! Don't like it? then get out and move...maybe get a job so you have something more constructive to do with your time!You are probably not really handicap anyway, you are most likely just LAZY and using the placard as an EXCUSE, GROW UP!!! Take responsibility...

Wednesday Stewart, the property manager wrote all of the comments. She's kind of a psycho, has been bounced around to all the apartments. The apartment complex she used to work for went downhill as soon as she started. And now she's writing bitchy, inflammatory comments and fake reviews.
