When I first moved here I was happy with it. The apartment is large and sunny. I have a one bedroom with den on the third floor. There was no big problem with the neighbors, every race/age but the only issue the occaisonal loud person pulling up outside with the music cranked. And of course the usual Glen Burnie issue with airplanes flying overhead but you get used to that.
Then some new people moved in under me. I didn't know they were there at first and one saturday he came up and spoke to me --during the day--because my daughter was running around and jumping. She's four. I apologized and took her outside. Two days later, he apparently installs his stereo and starts playing VERY loud music whenever he wants. So I think, what a hypocrite.
Then one night about seven pm both my kids were home and they were wressling on the floor. BOTH of them come up and start harrassing me and saying I make their windows rattle and I've knocked pictures off their walls. They accuse me of being inconsiderate. They--espescially her--are VERY rude. I mention their music and say they are loud too espescially when they are knockin boots but it seems to have little impact.
A few days later they have a KNOCKDOWN fight. Screaming, slamming doors, making everything rattle. I come close to calling the police. A week or so after that they play loud music until 2am and finally my boyfriend stomps on the floor. I've had it at this point so I contact management. Management sends them a letter so they are quieter now but another time he had the nerve to come up here and knock on my door and TRY the knob!!! I didn't answer and heard him cussing.
Overall the biggest problem has been the thin walls/ floors and these horrible people under me. But you run that risk when you rent. Oh, and they both smoke and I can smell it. Uggghhh. These people are totally classless and ignorant. Apparently too stupid to realize the floors are thin. I wish management had put me in a nonsmoking and child tolerant building. Next time, I'll know to ask.
