Look someplace else, especially if you're police

While the inside of the apartment is fairly spacious and not too bad looking (besides the kitchen cupboards which are probably older than I am), I cannot wait to move out. I've been here two years. The first year was fairly uneventful except for the ants I had crawling all over my living room and I can hear everything going on upstairs. As I write this, I can hear my neighbor vaccuuming.
My second year here, my apartment was broken into twice. I am in law enforcement and the second time my place was broken into, they attempted to get guns. Management would not release me from my lease even though if my firearms had been taken, they probably would have been used to commit crime in this area. This neighborhood is famous for robberies and burglaries. It's kind of quiet when it's cold out, but when it gets warm is when the crime kicks in. The parking here is atrocious. They don't designate lines so people park all over creation with no regard to people who may come home from work late and don't want to park across the street. Both summers I had problems with insects. The management did send someone to spray, but I still had a lot of crickets and spiders hanging out with me. And don't expect too many friendly neighbors. A couple are really nice, but the rest ignore everyone else and won't even hold the front door open for you if you're right behind them. There are a lot of evictions here and you can see the neighborhood people swarming like vultures over people's property left on the side of the street. So, yes, the price is decent but the neighborhood and the management suck. Pay the extra money to live someplace nicer.

Seems like you were targeted. Did you use your Law enforcement status to piss someone off? And if you live on the bottom floor, you're prone to have insects creep into your apt. Why did'nt you pay a little more money and rent on the second or third floor at this property? You get a discount. This company works with people to help pay past rent. So it's their own fault if they get evicted. It's no surprise to them, they know it's coming and they should make arrangements to pick up their things.

Obviously the responder doesn't know the apartments, I have to agree with the officer or initiator of this one the parking is ridiculous, the managment doesn't attempt to work with nor notify you that rent was not received. they are quick to issue court eviction notices though and are rude and condesending. the Maintenance, if you can call it that is basically non existant. we put in for the sliding glass doors to be fixed on Oct. 16th 2007 and it is now Dec 10th 2007 and unrepaired. they do not have any form of pest control.
