Mountain Ridge Apartments

Over priced and unsafe From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/8/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   When I first moved into my building people who had lived here for years were slowly over time moving on. Since the people who paid their rent and were half way decent people left, all they find in the apts are shady, nonworking people. They made me prove that I had rent history and a job but when half my neighbors don't go to "work" you tend to wonder. There is no security here. Sometimes the lights in the parking lot are lit sometimes it's just a really dull light. A lot of times you see groups of men standing in the darker spots and cars drive up. Many people have been mugged and their cars have been broken into. It's turning into a thug neighborhood. When you do make a call for them to come and fix something they will come very quickly but will do the cheapest and quickest job possible so you have to call several times for them to come and fix the same problem. The AC breaks down a lot, the hot water tank is so little you have 9 to 10 mins to take a shower. You can hear everything your neighbors talk about in the hallways. If someone is a smoker you will eventually smell it in your apt. The building has a locked front door which is always broken. There is a terrible problem with cats left from people so they just multiply and are all over. During the winter months they are the worst about plowing the snow. They will plow just a little strip down the middle so you can barely get out. And forget parking. If you don't get home by a certain time, you won't find a parking space anywhere near your apartment. Overall, Mountain Ridge Apartments is a joke. Sad part about it is that out of the mulitowned group of henderson webb property in Glen Burnie this is supposed to be the nicer of the bunch.
