I read the reviews here first before moving in with a little reluctance almost a year ago. While I don't dispute any of the complaints posted here, I still feel VAMS is a good deal for someone who is low-income. I occasionally see or hear things on the grounds that I don't like, but 99% of the time it is quiet here on Faywood Avenue. Maintenance and management must be understaffed because problems only get fixed on an emergency basis. My strategy is to call repeatedly, but be friendly about it. I can't prove that works best, but I suspect it does. A neighbor told me this was a high-crime complex until the current developer took over. You can get crime data on specific apartment complexes at aacounty.org, but compare it with several places or it will scare the heck out of you. Also, much of the VAMS data is AA police paid to watch the complex, so don't let that number scare you. I still take plenty of precautions, which I would do anywhere I lived. I like being on the southern edge of Glen Burnie, close to Severna Park. It would be nice to live there some day, but if it doesn't happen, I'm okay here.

It's been 11 months now since you've posted this... Do you still feel the same way? Can you tell me- what's the worst thing about living here? And the best? Also, do you know if they have bug problems like I read about GreenTree and MillPond?! Eww! My husband and I are looking at this area! Thanks!!
