Do not get an apartment here. I regret it greatly. Hector (maintenance manager) showed me the list of ground apartments that have FOUNDATION problems, I was shocked at leat 17/18 apartments. The reason he said the whole in the wall not fixed after 5 months.
HAVAC closet was BLACK of damp, rot and mould!!
I want to leave but they tell me I would owe them another months rent if i do so! NOT HAPPY. :-(

Well, I believe you can get out of your lease with this apt. complex. Check your lease that you signed and also the law in Maryland is, youre entitled to a safe, and healthy place to live which all includes: noise, security, maintenance, and things that damage your health - in your case, mold. What you should and are entitled by law to do is write letters to the manager, and makes backup copies of those letters and include the date and time you sent them. If the mold problem isn't fixed you can A) Get it fixed on your own, then send the bill to the manager to pay and if they dont, take them to court. or B) Give them 60 day notice that you are leaving because of this issue and that you have contacted them repeatedly and give them the dates and time of those letters you mailed out and also make a backup copy of this one too. You ARE allowed to move out before your lease is up IF you give a full 60 day notice and if its something as important as this - the MOLD. Which can make you extremely sick and also could kill you. Well, I hope this helps. Just remember to read your lease, make detailed copies of your complaints, and if they do nothing, remember you HAVE the RIGHT to be entitled to a safe living environment, so keep those detailed records incase they decide to charge you, because itll be worth it to see them lose in a courtroom!

It's been 8 months now since you've posted this... Do you still feel the same way? Can you tell me- what's the worst thing about living here? And the best? Also, do you know if they have bug problems like I read about GreenTree and MillPond?! Eww! My husband and I are looking at this area! Thanks!!
