I am moving into the complex in a couple weeks, and my experience so far has been great. The office staff is extremely welcoming and is willing to answer any questions or concerns. I saw some negative reviews on here and asked the office staff to clear them up for me, for one, about the mold, and they have never heard of any mold problems, and they said that if anything like that ever happens, there is a maintenence staff that will take care of anything. No bugs, no mold. I think the negative reviews on here come from people who are just mad that they have been evicted or can't afford to pay their rent. I'll post more once i move in and let you guys knnow!

Of course the staff is going to be great, as they were before I moved in as well. They have to be, do you think people would move into a community if the management was nasty? I never had a bad experience with the staff, or the half a@@ maintenance. It's not about what one can afford, because I now live in a wonderful community paying $450 more per month than I did there. The Villages was recommended to be by someone who thought the area was nice, I was at that time very new to the area and knew nothing about it. Had I known what I do now, I would have never moved there, they were extremely nasty. And yes I have since moved away from there and I am so glad that I have. Honestly it really depends on "you" and what you like and dislike. I couldn't deal with roaches, bugs mold etc so I moved. Everyone is different!

I am moving there this weekend and I've been to the apartments before with a friend who lives there. With every place there are going to be problems. There are no perfect rental options. But some things you have to experience for yourself. Everyone's point of view is different. People come from different backgrounds and expectations may impact their experience. Now, one thing I can say is before I filled out my application I did speak with a current resident and asked him if he would reccomend anyone to move there he said "No" and when asked why he said that maitenance wasn't much help. If you have any questions, ask a current resident. I didn't know the man I asked, but I wanted to know first hand from someone who obviously lived there. I too, will keep you posted on my move and give an honest unbiassed opinion regarding the apartment. People, don't be discouraged. You have to check it out for yourself. I also suggest that you drive by at night to see what happens there once the rental office is closed. Ofcourse they'll paint you a pretty picture of the community, you have to judge it for yourself.

I have rented an apartment for the last two years and I will not bash the managment. Most are very friendly and try to be helpfull. One has to remember that there are over 900 apartments for the staff to deal with please remember that there are section 8 involved as well. I have not had all of the problems on my check sheet completed as of yet as well but I have never had a roach in my place. Spiders and silverfish yes no roaches. Please be aware that I live on Sloane Drive and it is the quietiest street with mature adults throughout the building. I have a pet building and everyone is nice and the only smell is the dated carpet in the hallway. It is very affordable and if you have good neighborrs like my building it will be worth you while.

I loved my apartment until I had to wait 3 months for airconditioning. Everytime I called, Antwon kept saying he was just trying to get some more quotes in on the price. Screw the quotes, it August and over 90 degrees outside, Im hot !After three months I was givin air conditioning units. Mind you I had a 2 year old in the apartment. I loved my neighbors until one of them overdosed and died in his unit. I make good money but you could say Im cheap. I moved out of there as soon as my lease was over and will never go back.

I had major mold issues when I was there I am sooooo glad I dont live there any more, staff besides maybe 2 people there where horrible even to other staff members. maintenance was horrible also. I lived in an apartment filled with mold on one of the bedroom it took them 8 months to move me to another apartment and again that one had the same issues. I was sooo outta there. I will never go back.

The apt manager sidney and antwon is a joke you see most of those people in the office like them don't give a rats behind cause they don't live their. How about them in with Mc-N-Mc towing company on making money illegally. They sent out a letter for the parking lot striping...you would think they should put all the areas or streets that is going to be stripped. Nope only put your street and when you park your somewhere else thinking it is safe your car gets towed and also the towing company knows the tow was illegal because of the time. The building I live in is nasty in the hallways and on the outside it is the worst looking building in the complex. Have two cars one car someone broke the lock and the next car was broken into along with a neigbhor all this happened in one week of October 2009...their are some people who can't really afford to pay a higher rent at the moment but damn well pay thier rent on time every month at this place this is not an ungrateful person speaking its a person who beleives fair is fair people pay money to live their and the service, office management and mantenance is very bad. they can't even fix a toilet properly
