I moved here, and this is what I have to look forward to:
Glen Burnie, Md. - Police believe that a 48-year-old Glen Burnie woman was murdered by her adult son Thursday evening.
Officers responded to a call from two residents of a Glen Burnie home in the 200 block of Woodhill Drive who had returned home to find their relative, Ofelia Noyola-Monrroy, unconscious and badly hurt. The officers determined that Noyola-Monrroy had already died and that she appeared to have been murdered.
The family members in the home told police that her son, David Rico Noyola, who lived at the apartment with Noyola-Monrroy, was at home with her when they left but gone when they returned. He was located soon thereafter in another relative's home near Americana Circle and detained by the officers. ABC 7 Talkback:

Police have not yet revealed how they came to the determination that Noyola was the chief suspect in Noyola-Monrroy's death, but have said that they have obtained evidence that points conclusively to him. They have not yet determined a possible motive. The exact cause of death is also still pending.
David Noyola was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Maybe you should read more newspapers and watch the news.Murders happen everywhere.I admit it is scary when they happen in your own community. This was a domestic dispute of some kind.No one broke in and murdered someone at random. No place is completely safe.Murders happen in the nicest neighborhoods as well as the worst.Even income doesn't matter.Rich people get murdered too. This community has 2 courtesy patrols. But they cannot be in everyones apartment to insure their safety.Domestic violence happens.I know I feel safe here and so should you.

i agree with singlefatherof1 :read and become educated. This would have happened in the most expensive hotel in newyork or in a small rural country. The son had issues. Location has nothing to do with anything. Please dont digraded a community (esp one in mourning) b/c of one person. That "son" didnt even live there.
Move if you have personal issues

I have lived at this apartment complex for 10 and one-half years. While it has "issues," a home is how you treat it. If there is dirt or salt crystals on the sidewalk and/or parking space, get a broom & sweep it up. This is your home, so keep it clean & take an active role in keeping it safe & clean. If something needs repaired, even if it is not your own home, report the problem so Maintenance can repair it. I understand about your fear & frustration regarding this crime, but please get all of the facts. Granted, the company should have let its residents know there had been a crime committed & work with residents to ensure everyone's safety, but remember that the crime is "alleged" & the suspect is innocent until proven guilty. NOTHING IS PERFECT & we all need to work together to make the complex a good place to live.
