Twin Coves was just ok until early 2004. The monthly rent has always been too high for the small amount of space and lack of amenities provided. Parking is NOT assigned and always problematic on the weekends and every night after 10pm. Apartments are NOT well insulated for sound or heat. Maintenance takes too long (over 2 weeks) to respond. The complex is run by one leasing manager, who started early 2004, who cannot get along with anyone and in fact seeks conflict and confrontations with residents. She gives people "lease violations" for petty things (i.e., having a bike or a cooler or even a chair on the balcony). She does not give you a copy of your signed lease when she is supposed to (had to demand mine 2 months after I should have received it). She doesn't notify maintenace of repair needs (i.e., mold in apartment, broken sink). She does not return phone calls in a timely manner (I always have to call her AGAIN the next day because she does not respond). Since she has been there, NO ONE has gotten back their security deposit in full because she claims petty "damages" that really aren't damages, were pre-existing, or are ordinary wear and tear. For example, she did not return ANY of my security deposit because she claims that the countertops had scratches in them, even though she admitted that they can't be seen or felt by hand.....and then she didn't even replace them but still kept the security deposit. Even more disturbing is that she doesn't tell new residents to look for "damages" like the ones she later claims to find at move-out inspections.
