Ahh, if you're new to the state you may want to avoid this community as well as any other apartment complex in Glen Burnie. I moved here recently from Denver Colorado and went to check out Twin Coves as well as a few other properties in the Glen Burnie area. Can you say "white trash"' WOW, I was shocked at how run down most places are and what kind of money they are asking for basically glorified housing projects. Twin Coves was no exception, it looked like a slight step up from a ghetto. The buildings were old and smelled very moldy. They were also too small for what they were asking for rent. I mean I've never seen any apartment with no fireplace, but apparently that's the norm' here. While there I met one of the "residents" who was dressed in socks. All the while, she was screaming at her children in the hall (cigarette dangling from her mouth) and getting louder as the kids were playing on a mattress left by the dumpster! Needless to say, unless you're a redneck you wouldn't feel at home!

I don't think it's really fair to review a place where you haven't actually lived, nor to rate it based on comparing DC to Colorado! Of course you're not going to have a fireplace, welcome to the east coast where extra space is a rare commodity. I lived happily at Twin Coves for a year before moving to NYC for a job, and I consider myself neither ghetto nor a redneck. I remember my low low rent there fondly compared to NYC prices, but that's not a fair comparison either. Compare your apples to apples and get used to paying more around big cities in the east.

I also lived at twin coves, and i personally think it is one of the "nicer" ones in Glen Burnie. Have you ever thought that maybe the east coast may be differnt. You arent in Colorodo anymore. And hardly anything you rent here is going to have a fireplace. Anyway i guess my point is, if you dont like it here. GO BACK TO COLORADO !

Maryland is not Colorado and never will be. Maryland, especially in the Baltimore Metro area, is an expensive state to live in and you're not going to get a large place for cheap. I grew up in Glen Burnie and there maybe some bad areas in Glen Burnie, but the Twin Coves apts is def. not in a bad area. And to call us Glen Burnie residents "white trash" and "redneck" is insulting. Like the last poster said, if you don't like it here on the east coast, GO BACK TO COLORADO

Colorado can never be compared to Maryland and especially Glen Burnie, that is VERY true. That's because Colorado is one of the most educated states in the USA. Crime is very low. The "quality of life" and surrounding natural beauty is extremely high. People don't throw litter everywhere as they do in this landfill state. The residents are thin, health driven and savvy. But last and certainly not least, it's the people. They are honest, friendly and NOTHING the East Coast or anywhere else can compare to. Don't believe me? Google it!! You all know what that is....right?! LOL!!!

A fireplace?? Are you kidding me??? Only the apartments upwards of around $1500 a month in this area might only POSSIBLY have a fireplace, if you request it, and of course pay for it. It's ignorant to call people you don't even know "white trash"... To us "poor uneducated" Marylanders, you're probably just a yuppie who belongs in a loft downtown a block away from his big time office job, which is probably why you moved to MD in the first place.

Wow, what an -------, seriously. I was born and raised in Dundalk, Maryland (laugh if you must) and I understand your plea with white trash. HOWEVER there are crumby people EVERYWHERE. There are also good people everywhere. The east coast is more expensive and urban. You have to pay for what you want here and therefore we are one of the richest states in the US. You probably were able to move here because of a hefty sum of money some Maryland employer offered you that towered over a CO salary that was laughable to even the most entry-level REDNECK here. If you have a problem with Glen Burnie then move to Annapolis, but you'll even find some cruddy neighborhoods there. Get off your high horse.
