I stumbled upon this site today and I could not resist adding in my own two cents (for whatever it's worth). My fiancee' and I were browsing for a place to live back in January and a friend of mine had moved into the Willows 2 months prior to that. I thought it was very affordable and she had no complaints (then at least) so we filled out an application for a lease. A week or so later my fiancee thought it would be a good idea to take a ride through the neighborhood at night just to see how things were. I am so glad we did. One of the first things we saw upon entering the neighborhood were two police cars, I thought to myself, ok why are they here'''' My finacee then thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to talk to the two officers to find out about the neighborhood and if they would reccommend it. He asked them and this was their response (and I quote)..."Don't do it!!!" They then went on to say that you may get robbed walking into your building at night, it has happened frequently, and that there have been a lot of cases where people get jumped and beat up if you look at someone the wrong way. At the time it was January so they said things are pretty quiet in the winter but the one officer said, and I quote, "this place is off the hook in the summertime." That was it for us, we forfeited our deposit and now we are living in Lynn Hill, and we love it. The reviews on this site about Lynn Hill are not so great either, but I have never experienced anything that others were complaining about and it has been 7 months. I told my friend who currently already resided at the Willows what the police had said, and she was like oh great here we go. Sure enough 3 months later her neighbor's teenage son had his music on way too loud so she went and asked his mother if he could turn it down. The mother was extremely nice and apologetic and it was turned down within a few minutes, but guess what happened''' The next morning my friend left to go to work and there were obscenities written all over her car. Hmmmmmm, I wonder who did that''' They are not renewing their lease and they cannot wait to get out of there. I also did some research on the area, and guess what I found out''' Dead bodies have been dumped in the woods adjacent to the complex....

If you want to live there, you are taking a huge risk in my opinion, so stay away....

I moved to the Willows in the spring of 2005. At first, the grounds were beautiful and the units were clean and well lit. That didn't last long. In June of this year, management started renovations in my building that have yet to be complete. I'm talking holes in the walls of the apartments and the hallways. The buildings are now filthy!!! It's taken one year and the grounds now look horrible! We did get a note that people were being robbed in the laundry room! I just keep my fingers crossed until my lease is up and we are OUT OF HERE!!!
