Great deal for the money

Very good apartment complex. The office staff handled situations in a professional manner. I do admit that the management office could have had better hours. I worked from 8 to 6 at a job in Baltimore, so obviously, anything I needed to talk with the staff about was not going to happen unless I called from my work. They are not open on the weekends, which did cause a few problems, but RARELY did I have to call them. Usually, it was just logistics as we moved out after a year to a house.
Parking is absolutely not the best. We had two vehicles, and if I needed to have any friends over (and I don't mean five or six cars either), it was a nightmare to find good parking. During the holidays, it is impossible to find a parking spot close to your apartment, but that could've just been the families that were living in our buildings. Lighting needs to be greatly improved, but the sidewalk areas in the parking lot were adequately lit enough that we could feel safe.
One down side is that the Heritage Hill community and surrounding area is literally right behind the Woodcrest Apt. community. Police, Ambulance, and ESPECIALLY Fire Engine sirens were frequent. I think I heard them every night. We never had a problem with crime to my knowledge, it was just the community behind the complex.
Maintenance staff was very helpful. We had only two maintenance problems. Our drain clogged maybe once or twice, but that was taken care of the next day. And second, only a slight water leak occured, but it happened just above the shower/tub in the corner of the bathroom.
Spacious two bedroom apartment, well laid-out. All utilities were paid for by the apartment complex, EXCEPT for the Electricity. Cooking stove/oven was a gas range, not electric. No dishwasher in our unit, or any of the others to my knowledge. A storage closet was provided down in the basement of the building, along with the laundry facilities, but you had to supply a lock.
There is a staunch no pets rule, but I don't remember them heavily trying to enforce that rule at all. The tenants were friendly, and there weren't any "bad people" (drug dealers, users, prostitutes, etc.) that I knew of, then again, we didn't hang out with that crowd so I don't know.
All in all, we got a great deal, but we were on a waiting list for 10 months. That should speak to the quality of the apartment complex and how good they were.

Parking problems could be eleviated if each registered car had its own designated and numbered space.
