Things were going great until just recently. Hickory Hills terminated my internet service (which I thought was great), telephone service, and cable TV service. They set up their own service for phone, internet, and cable TV and told us that if we wanted these services then the residents would be forced to use theirs or go without.

This is so they can reap the money from us for these things too.

Well let me tell you something. Their Cable TV service is fuzzy and has lines through it AND we lost half our channels, the internet is DOWN half the time and the other half it is slower than dial-up and the phone I ended up paying MORE for less.

I call and ----- constantly to them but to no avail.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. NOW THEY WANT ALMOST $3,000 FOR ME TO TERMINATE MY LEASE AND I CAN NOT LEAVE.

Not to mention the parking spots are SO narrow that you have to be a stunt driver to fit your car in them and then if you're fat forget getting your door open far enough to get out. I've got deep door dings all down both sides of my car from other residents.

The only pro in all these cons is that the maintenance is pretty good and quick and the mechanics are nice.

I'm serious. If you want more information then e-mail me at chestr@bestmail.us or better yet call me at (240)794-3802 immediately and if my internet is not ------- down at that time then I will answer any questions you might have.

I dont like to say mean things.. but I hope they end up losing money on the upgrades and fixes they have to do just to get internet service back to where it was before. And then finally end up switching back to Metrocast after realizing their stupid decision in the first place. Also, Cable tv service remains at $33 while we lost almost half the available channels... what a load of crap. Hybrid networks??? Who the hell is dumb enough to switch to something like that??!

It's the "we are doing this because we care about you" lie that bothers me.

They claim that it's for the benefit of the residents but why would they FORCE us to take a worse deal that what we had to begin with.
They CLAIM that we are saving money and yet my rent "mysteriously" went up $30....go figure...Then they want me to pay an ADITIONAL 29.95 for internet that is HALF as good as metrocast....and they don't even offer an e-mail account...

I'm just not too comfortable with that fact that:
If I want cable: I have to get their crap or nothing. Ends up costing me more for less too

If I want internet: I have to get their crap or nothing. Ends up costing me more for less.

If I want phone: I have to get their crap or nothing. this also ends up costing me more for less.....

something doesnt seem right here
