I have lived in a studio apartment here for almost three years now. I have had very little problems since the start of living here. I like that everything is included in your rent except for electric. The office staff is very nice. The maintenence staff takes a little while to respond to your issues sometimes, but are also very nice. The on-site laundry room has new washers and dryers. I haven't had too many problems with noisy neighbors either.

Every year though rent seems to climb a little higher. I am not pleased at all with the gate at the front of the community. It is only closed from 8PM to 7AM, so there isn't that much protection. The way to enter is with your electronic house key, so there is usually a long line of cars waiting. Pet waste in the grass areas has been a major problem. Some of the dumsters have been taken away.

Overall, I have enjoyed living at Hickory Hills. Currently, there is construction outside of the neighborhood. Route 237 is being widened, so you won't have to wait as long to exit from the neighborhood, which is terrible now. Eventually Amber Drive will connect with Wal-Mart.
