I have to write a great review for Charlestowne North! More often, people only write reviews if they are disgruntled and you never get to see the true-to-life representation of an apartment building/complex. I have lived here for about 10 months and I am quite happy with my aparment. I moved in to find brand new appliances (the stickers were still on the toilet)and a great welcome kit with all of the necessities that I would need right away (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.).
In addition, I have only seen improvements to the building/grounds since Realty management took over and I have not experienced this "unanticipated raise in the rent" yet. After looking all around the Greenbelt/College Park area, this place is the best bang for your buck. You pay a little more than other places, but all the utilities are included (quite beneficial for MD in the summertime).
There was also a post here about the air conditioning not being ready for the hot weather. It was turned on in the second week in May... so STOP WHINING... what did we ever do without air conditioning!
I have found the management to be quite pleasant, one of the apartment managers even lives in the building. I really like that feature. The office even has weekend hours! How convenient!
I have posted some of my own photos to show the brighter side of Charlestowne North. Someone posted photos of the old carpet in the hallways, it will probably be replaced, but I didn't feel bad about dragging salt and snow in in the wintertime... and if you are so scared of the slow elevators - TAKE THE STAIRS.

Thank you very much for the info. I am definitely putting this on my list to look into. I've always been an advocate of Greenbelt. It's a peaceful, slow city with the little noise. I know some parts are loud, but you definitely sold me with Charlestowne North. Thanks for the info. Just out of curiousity, can we have a small dog (bicheon) on the property?
