Get it if you can

This apartment complex is always full, and for good reason. Many of the buildings were built in the 30's and 40's, and they're basically solid. Since these buildings are older, you won't find all of the modern amenities, such as a dishwasher. These are really good starter apartments if you're single or a couple, the space is well laid out, you get plenty of natural light in your living room, and if you have the window A/C unit in your place (almost all units do) it's enough to keep it cool in the summer. Your heat is radiators, and they work very well at keeping the place warm.
Location is great, you're right next to a supermarket and movie theater (shows mostly independent films). Bus stop is nearby and you can be to the subway within 10-15 minutes of the bus arriving. I don't have to use my car to get to work because of it.
So if you don't absolutely need a dishwasher or central air, this is a good place to start.
