The landlord...i don not know where to begin. First word describing him is -------. Whenever we come to him with a problem, aka the ant problem that seems to happen yearly, he tells us to simply "wait it out" and that "they'll just go away on their own". We even tried ant trap, one called Terro the best rated in ant killers. He talks over you, has a sarcastic condescending tone and can never answer a question with a simple answer. He's the biggest half-assed Mr fix-it moron i have ever seen. The heat he controls only comes on when temperatures drop below 50 degrees. The windows whistle and HOWL when it's a little windy outside. There's not a lot of room. Clearly a very old fashioned apartment considering the out of date metal cabinets that you have to yank the hell out of to open. You can hear your neighbors' conversations clearly in the hallway. I'm honestly way passed surprised that this guy is still the landlord. On top of it all, he seems very sexist. I would recommend looking next door to the Lakeside apartments or maybe even Lawrence apts as they have wooden cabinets that don't yank your arm out when you have to open them. Oh and i almost forgot. Everyday you see these disgusting browning/black/white speckled tiles in the kitchen and bathroom that are just made to look dirty!! I'm always trying to sweep up stuff and i find out that the tile is just made to look that much outdated and filthy. Also, when we moved in and still now I am constantly finding these weird yellow drips on the walls and orange stains at the tile edges that we can not get up. It looks like someone pissed all over the hallways. Whenever there is an issue in maintenance, mr landlord doesn't do a dammn thing. And if he does, the problem he thinks he knows and talks just to hear himself talk, always comes back- i.e.- leaks!! Luckily we've had no mice. It's not the quietest place to live, when you hear people come in at all hours & their hallway conversations loud and clear, but it is temporarily home. Then, goodbyeeeeeeeee ---- head!!
As far as safety goes, when you are parking and it happens to be dark out, look out for the creeps sitting and chilling at the bus stops because there has been more than one tie that i have felt threatened because of obscenities and threats called out.
