we have lived in this complex for several months and one thing i noticed is that the things we were promised in the beginning were not fulfilled. First off, in terms of the utilities we were told that there would be a 'cap' in the gas price to not exceed $70, however the last few months it has been almost $95!!! AND we were not given notice that the gas "CAP" would increase or be nonexistant... we were also promised that a fitness center/gym would be completed by last summer, obviously that was a lie!! Also this complex has several charges within the rent that i was not expecting... these "charges" include the GAS (of course), water, sewer, a 'utility fee' (i am still trying to get someone to explain that one to me), plus you still have to pay BGE separately for your electric!!! Also, parking is a daily problem, only on a lucky night you can find parking directly in front of the entrance of your building... also the towing company will tow your car or your guest car quickly (if you dont have a decal in their required spot)... also the walls are 'paper-thin', you can hear everything!!! from music, to conversations, etc... also the washer connection is 'crap'!! you have to connect it to the kitchen facet, of which takes over the space in the kitchen (in other words i cannot do laundry and cook at the same time, which is limiting if i am trying to multi-task) & ours had to be 'repaired several times...
In other words, if you rent here then you should expect to pay an additional $200-250 per month just for the utilities, not want to exercise, go to the laundry mat, and hopefully you have only 1 car in your household...
you might as well go live in one of these 'new construction' apartment buildings... at least those new buildings are beautiful and you are paying basically the same thing monthly!!...

I totally agree with you Gate of Hell is definitely not worth the money. My water bill is almost $50 every month and I pay $5 a month for trash. As you know, the dumpster are always overflowing and it smells really bad during the summer months. I can't wait to move this year.
