I've been living in Lake Side North for three years and have nothing but positive experiences. The maintenance is very prompt, staff has been very polite and helpful to me, grounds are landscaped well and it's very safe since the complex located in a cul de sac where you can get only by going by a police station. Neighbours are quiet since most of them are graduate students. There's a large park with a lake in 5 minutes of walking, Univeristy of Maryland shuttle stop is in 3 min walk, metrobus stop is in 5 min. walk, metro station is in 20-25 min. walk or you could take metrobus there. THe Belway and US295 are close enough so that it's easy to get to them but far enough so that you don't hear the noise. The disadvantages are that the building is 40 or so years old so you can hear people walking upstairs and heating/ac system is comparatively noisy. I was not a problem for me at all but I knew a couple who was not able to get used to it. Parking situation is not different that anywhere else in the area so I don't understand why people complain about it. It's definetely the best apartment complex in Greenbelt/Beltsville/Berwyn Heights area and maybe College Park too.

I'm glad to hear that this complex is good. When we visited as a prospective resident, the staff was very good to us, and always kept in touch with us. Now we're planning on becoming residents of the place in June :-)
