I don't know what people are expecting from an apartment complex, but Lakeside North is the best in the area. If you don't believe me, take a look at some of the other apartments in Greenbelt--you might not want to risk taking your family (or posessions) there.
The office staff is friendly, responds to service requests promptly, and learns your name quickly.
My husband and I moved in 12/2004. The carpet smelled like dog, so we notified the rental office that it was as such. They promptly had the unit recarpeted and deducted several hundred dollars from our next month's rent as compensation. The housekeeping and grounds crew are equally as hospitable.
Of course apartments are prone to having critters, but any complaints in this matter have been dealt with by exterminators from the office. In a year and a half, we have seen less than 10 roaches. Although there are occasional with ants, spiders, or centipedes.
To sum it up, these are the best apartments in Greenbelt. The residents make all the difference. We can take our daughter outside to play with the other children at the playground and know that it isn't a hang out for questionable teenagers. The residents here are responsible for themselves, their families, their pets, and their posessions.
If you want a luxury apartment, move to another city, and expect to pay double in rent.
