I am looking to move at the end of summer 2009. Reading reviews of Apartment Ratings has been very helpful to me in the past. Lakeside North is of interest to me. Does anybody have any recent information to give me about this place' I've read in previous posts about roaches (yuck), air conditioning, and a rude property manager (I certainly don't have time for attitudes). Are these still problems here' I have visited this property before, but it's always good to get the opinion of people who actually live here. You can't always judge a book by it's cover.

1. I've been here 2 1/2 years, and I have seen a few roaches. It's very occasional. They will come spray weekly if you want them too; they use a desiccant rather than a chemical. 2. I have no issues whatsoever with my AC; it gets very cold in here. The heat is a little spottier in terms of the rooms being equally warmed. But I live on the ground floor, which may make my experience unusual. 3. I would not say that the manager is rude; I would say that he's young, and sometimes a little needlessly formal and a little too concerned with "the rules," but not rude. You should not have rated the complex. Even rating it 3 across the board dropped it from 61% to 59%, a drop that is meaningless because you haven't lived here. You should click the "Ask a question" button on the top of the page, to the far right of the percentage.

Thanks for your feedback, it is helpful. I live on the ground floor now and it does get pretty cold, so that is understandable. By the way, sorry about the percentage thing. I didn't realize there was a "write a question" part. I have visited the property before, but I fail to mention that in my review. My apologies again. I usually just read what people have written instead of just going off percentages...I guess that's just me though.

I have lived here for four years, the only thing that I do not like is living on the ground floor, other than that I love the neighborhood. We are close to everything, but tucked away. The property manager is not as warm and friendly as the previous one, but he is efficient. Anytime I have a problem I call and the maintenance team fixes it right away.

We've been living here for 2 years and it's all right. Management is good, and it's clean and convenient. The only problem we've had is noise from the apartment above us. It's an old building with no proper insulation between floors, so when the kid upstairs is running or playing football, it feels like an earthquake on top of our heads. We're looking forward to moving to a flat on the top floor. Apart from that, we have no complaints.
