Just plain old ghetto

I lived in Springhill Lake while I was a student at UMCP. At first, they screwed up the move-in day and we could not move in for about 3 or 4 days after they told us we could move. The first day that my "boyfriend" and I was there, the mat outside of our door was stolen. The mailbox door was either taken off or was about to fall off. The complex turned the air conditioning off early, so it is roasting in your apartment in September. I haven?t seen too many bugs, but that doesn?t mean that there aren?t any. We tried to keep our apartment clean. Water was leaking from a pipe in our bathroom wall into the apartment downstairs so maintenance had to come into our apartment (no notice given) and knock a huge hole in our wall to fix the pipe and took days to repair the hole left behind. There were also other occassions where maintenance would come into our apartment with no prior notice. My boyfriend had to complain to the office and write a letter to make sure no one came into our apartment without someone present. The laundry room had only two washers and two dryers for two building of 11 apartments in each building. If one was broken, you were SOL. There are entirely too many kids around. Some of these "ghetto-fabulous" bebe kids broke the door into our apartment building.
The only positives about this place is the proximity to the Shopping Center, which is good if you don?t have a car (which we didn?t at the time) and the shuttle to the University. Otherwise, please take my advice and run not walk away from this place!!!!!!
