GOOD THINGS FIRST: Parking was available all the time. Close to Metro. Close to shopping complexes / gas stations/ running trails / Lake Artmesia / Gold Gym / Hollywood Video / Theater / Pharmacy. Maintenance response pattern is weird. Sometimes it is ok. Nice neigborhood people almost to smile and wish.

LACK OF #of STAFF & Efficiency I THINK: 3000 apartment, how many staff in accounting, maaintenance, etc. Like them to read this and review.

ROACHES/MICE/CONSEQUENCES: Some say before you move in, check the place. I checked it. It was good they put new carpet, new paint on walls, etc. Saw some roaches. I told them I am going to move in a week later and request them to take care of it. Hmm... I feel like it is impossible without the cooperation of neighbors. Will they cooperate' You can assume not. So althouth my family was clean, you cannot stop it. Lots of them goes into my laptop (for some reasons this clean freaks know). I go sit somewhere with my laptop, roaches crawl out. I was happy to see/kill them. I had to take the laptop to service since roaches messed up the cooling system. All this happens after we have only one dust bin in home and we clean it every other day. Neigbor moved out recently, suddenly all their roaches came into my apartment. I cannot help other than being clean. So I would say, even if you see your apartment cool before move in and you are a clean freak, no guarantee buddies.I carry lunch box to my office in a bag. Due to roaches, I do carry my lunch in a (GIANT) polythene bag. One dead mouse, due to smell, I found underneath my stove. After that, none.

HEATER/COOLER/DISHWASHER: Heater/AC never worked well. Believe me. I have 2 room heaters (25 bugs each) and a $45 space heater. Helped for our winter. Dish washer did not work. Thank God, we do like to clean by hand. Never want to report them more than once. That is all the best I can do, to help them being good, after paying the rent. They are supposed to follow up. If not, they will pay on or before their death for their good/bad deeds.

SAFETY/CARE: Dont know. Cycle stolen. Stereo from my car gone. 1 month later, my car is STOLEN. Do not want to include my VIN# for security reason, otherwise I would. For this country and area, in my opinion, this is still safe. If you do not lose your life, you have to say you are safe.

Are there any other apartment complexes, best. Do not know.

My THOUGHTS ABOUT OTHER GOOD REVIEWS : After seeing some people's good reviews about springhil lake, I do not know what to say. May be I am an unlucky/dumb person. May be it depends who you are and what you think is the best/worst/etc. Unfortunately, my fate/job made myself to get bothered by these things.

I come from a country, not developed this much. Still I could not tolerate. Shall I conclud, for 1050 dollar rent, we will get only this much on this earth.

Check out your luck with Springhill Lake if you want. Good luck with your apartment search.

I had a very similar problem, I was so happy when our lease was up in April , I cried :) , I had never been more happier to leave that place, our bathroom, and bedroom was filled with mold and mildew and they did nothing about it, all the maintenance man did was came and pulled all the tiles off of the wall and threw them in the floor, that was 3 weeks before we moved.....they were staying laying there when we moved needless to say, the air condition did not work, nor did the heat, we also had an heater and bugs...oh my god!!! we had to kill them every night before we get into bed, I could sit in my apt and watch them gamble, and hearing gun shots every night was not good either, I just pray that anyone that stay there will be safe...God Bless Us ALL!!!

After 3 weeks, guys got the car back from MD State police. It seems some one parked the car somewhere 10 miles off, after breaking some things. Some mileage. I feel like someone was using it for a while. Cool. Thank God. I already moved out.
